Job Summary

Analyzing financial records to prepare tax returns, conducting audits, and creating budget reports. Comply with local laws, federal, and state regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments).
Will handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
Ensuring bank payments are submitted in a timely fashion.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Preparing and calculating tax returns.
Researching and resolving complex accounting issues.
Managing profit/loss statements and balance sheets
Auditing documents and financial transactions
Preparing budget forecasts.
Collaborating with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.

Education/Experience Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required
4 + years experience as an Accountant/ relevant experience
QuickBooks experience (required)
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Detail-oriented, and accurate.
Experience with general ledger functions
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).
BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.
Certified Payroll Professionals (CPP) is a plus.
Additional certification (CMA) is a plus
