Software Engineer/CTO

Miles is an early-stage startup operating out of Montreal. It focuses on creating next-generation financial technology and platforms for retail investors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and roadmapping the product development for Miles and consulting with its CEO. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code. This is not a typical or corporate-oriented job, the team is tight-knit and constantly scaling up. This position requires strong commitment. Payment is company equity.

Responsibilities:
Develop quality software for the MVP and oversee future product development
Oversee a team of software engineers
Consult with CEO on all projects
Design highly scalable, testable code
Discover and fix programming bugs

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Development experience with programming languages (Python, C++, the more the better)
Knowledge of Algorithmic Trading and required programming (an asset)
