About The Role

We're looking for creative engineers to join our founding team!

You'll work closely with the co-founders to:

• Lay the technical foundations of, what plans to be, the world's most trusted healthcare platform
• Help set strategic goals and develop a technology roadmap to support the ambitions of the business
• Recruit, develop, and retain a team of diverse, world-class engineers in a highly competitive economic environment
• Establish and nurture a culture of innovative, reliable, solution-orientated, and product-minded engineers
• Regularly review delivery progress with the teams and redirect work to balance speed and quality

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Rapidly prototype and build out our cross-platform frontend
• Undertake system design and code reviews
• Collaborate with engineers and product people to design and build out incredible experiences for our users
• Assist in building out our team with other excellent engineers

Required Experience

Must-haves:

• 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer, ideally having spent time in a start-up environment
• Ability to make thoughtful technology choices (picking the right tool for the right job)
• Ability to write high-performing, scalable, testable, reusable code
• Excellent computer science fundamentals
• You have shipped full-stack products before - You have experience working with cross-platform frameworks
• Able to spar on complex technical decisions and pull together foundational design documentation
• Deep passion for technology, you want to change the world and you resonate with Human’s mission
• A love for collaborating with others across multiple skillsets - we value leaders who bring diverse values and perspectives as well as encourage that in others
• You like to think big picture but are also excited to get your hand's dirty building products and getting into the details
• You aren't afraid of collaboration or challenges - you're flexible and focus on solutions, not problems
• Track record of recruiting, inspiring, and developing happy high-performing teams
• Respect for SEO and organic, web-based growth strategies

Nice-To-Haves:

• Development of service-based architectures
• Distributed systems and cloud design
• Solid understanding of technical SEO
• Experience with data manipulation, computer vision, and NLP toolkits
• Experience growing and accelerating engineering teams
• Interest in using AI/ML and deep learning systems to drive automation and develop intuitive products
