What You’ll Do

As a member of our team, you will provide tax services to our clients and manage our senior associate and associate level tax team members. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. The preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns with a strong focus on individual tax for founders and high net worth individuals
2. Managing, developing, and mentoring members of the tax team
3. Identifying and developing solutions for complex tax issues
4. Answering client inquiries and working with management to triage and problem solve tax issues or questions
5. Developing process improvements in company tax procedures
6. Producing quarterly/yearly tax projections
7. Engaging in strategic tax planning
8. Ad hoc tax projects

Who You Are

The ideal candidate exhibits the following skills and/or characteristics:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
2. A passion for all things tax
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) is required
4. Familiarity with ProConnect, CCH ProSystem fx is a plus
5. Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or similar role
6. Experience with or interest in crypto taxation is a bonus
7. A borderline unhealthy obsession with being organized
8. Keen attention to detail
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
10. Natural curiosity and a strong desire to learn new skills
11. Ability to work autonomously
12. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
13. Problem-solving skills
14. Professionalism and commitment to exceptional communication and client service
15. Experience with Quickbooks Online, Sage Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, HubDoc, and other accounting applications is a plus

Compensation

This position is for immediate hire, paid commensurate with the candidate's experience.
