The Opportunity

Findex DNA is the digital arm of Findex creating fintech software for the wider financial services market. We are out to challenge the status quo and transform ways of working so that together we can create new value and help people thrive. We build disruptive custom software for gaps in the fintech market, enabling efficiencies and bespoke solutions for customers.

We’re scaling our Product and Engineering teams and looking for a talented Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team.

As a Product Designer, you’ll work alongside three Designers to collect and translate user insights into delightful experiences. You’ll contribute to both internal and direct-to-market projects, utilising your innovative and human-centred design approach to create and deliver products which reflect our ‘why’ and our values.

You will love understanding how people use a digital application, and how that app plugs into other larger complex systems. You will create a seamless UI experience for our customers, creating both functional and appealing features that address their needs. 

We are predominately a remote team, but we would prefer the role to be based out of our Melbourne or Brisbane office to be proximate to the team.  

*What you’ll get to do *

Contribute to the design strategy across Findex DNA

Develop detailed experience designs from project inception, through to build and launch, maintaining a comprehensive interactive style guide that can be utlised by agile sprint teams.

Conduct and manage user research activities including interviews, contextual inquiries, A/B testing, surveys and metrics analysis 

Create UX deliverables including personas, scenarios, task flows, information architecture, prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototype 

Manage the design of digital interfaces that embody core user experience principles whilst balancing the needs of customers and the business 

Conduct heuristic reviews of existing interfaces and document recommendations 

 
*What you’ll need  *

You’ll need to possess outstanding creativity, be extremely detailed focussed, and have the ability to help define and solve complex user interface problems.

*The specifics: *

4+ years’ experience in a UX/UI or Product Designer role
Strong knowledge of user-centred and wire-framing/prototyping design tools i.e. Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, InVision, InDesign, Zeplin, Adobe suite etc.  

Ability to develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how design should function 

Thorough understanding of digital technologies and trends 

Experience with mobile-first responsive design 

Good understanding of digital technologies and SDLC 

Experience working in an Agile environment 

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present work to executives and large groups.
