About you

You are an entrepreneurial self-starter that can take a project and run with it.

You have previous experience designing and building out a partner ecosystem and you’re well versed in drafting new commercial terms/structures for new types of partnerships.

You love networking, doing deals, building connections with extremely influential founders, and uncovering inspiring founder stories that could become a game-changer for our business and our students.

You are comfortable using a variety of techniques to find and make contact with the right person at each prospective company. You embrace the challenge of turning “no” into “yes” through creativity, agility, and by applying a solutions focussed mindset.

You’ve got a proven track record that demonstrates your hustle mentality and that you thrive on hitting targets and forging strong and long-lasting partner relationships. You have experience closing and negotiating final deal specifics and contracting.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines.

You thrive in a data-rich world, reviewing analytics is second nature to you and you are able to dive into qualitative and quantitative data to pinpoint opportunities within the partner ecosystem that can drive value on both sides of the value exchange.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4-5 years of experience in partnerships/business development, ideally within a PR/Media or edtech environment
  • Proven ability to leverage data and insights to measure the success of partner relationships.
  • Experience building relationships, communications, and presentations with leadership internally and externally
  • Skilled at persuasive writing and using a range of strategies to impact and influence
  • Experience leading partnership programs is desirable
  • Extensive rolodex of entrepreneur/start-up contacts

About the role

Foundr Magazine is looking for a Partnership and Talent Relations Manager to help us:

Find amazing course instructors for us to partner with and create incredible online courses
Find top-caliber entrepreneurial talent for our magazine and editorial team
Build out our partner ecosystem which will enable us to activate new channels for acquisition and revenue.

Talent Management aspects of the role:

Research and identify potential instructors and generate interest in becoming an Foundr instructor
Work closely with Foundr’s leadership team to prospect and sign some of the greatest entrepreneurs of our generation to teach online courses for our education platform and also give back to our community via interviews and experience shares.
Onboard new instructors and support their course launches
Build a talent pipeline to help drive foundr’s growth
Foster and maintain great relationships with our instructors and offer new ways to grow their affiliate revenue opportunities
Produce engaging instructor reports on a quarterly basis.
Source editorial talent to feature in our digital magazine & podcast
Work closely with the content team to schedule interviews

Partnership Manager aspects of the role:

Work closely with the leadership team to develop partnership strategies and ideas.
Design and develop the Foundr partnership program to have clear targets, avatars for partners, and categories of partnership type.
Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound, emails, and client calls.
Represent the Foundr brand as the company partnerships liaison and deliver a great experience to our partners.
Execute any partnership agreements including any necessary undertakings and due diligence
Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions, lead sharing, and/or event partnerships.
Maintain and grow revenue targets allocated to named strategic partner relationships
Perform Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with Partners to encourage loyalty and identify opportunity and risk
Monitor and evaluate partnership activities in line with targets and company expectations, to inform decision making and produce engaging and impactful internal and partner reporting.
Foster and maintain great relationships with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership.
Develop and maintain partnerships media kit (partner-facing) when pitching potential partners.

You will work closely with Product, Content, and Marketing teams to drive the partnership strategies and support the growth of our business.

Whilst our ideal candidate would be based in Melbourne, we are open to remote candidates.
