eCompendium is looking for a blue sky thinker, an innovator, someone with courage, someone who is also an experienced business development representative with experience in the hotel industry.
eCompendium creates experiences for hotel guests. It brings the guest all of the information about the hotel, surrounding activities, housekeeping services, room service ordering. We are a modern digital compendium that connects to a hotel’s PMS to deliver guests the full hotel experience.
The role is primarily business development. It will be in the new ‘Customer Success’ role where you will bring in customers and support them throughout their time with eCompendium. You will develop leads and help hotels to get up and running on eCompendium.
Daily Activities Include
- Connecting with existing contacts and warm leads.
- Developing lists of prospects.
- Engaging with existing prospects including scheduling and facilitating discovery meetings, demos and presentations.
- Developing media and materials for inbound sales.
- We expect this engagement to prospect 500 rooms in the initial month with a 20% increase each month thereafter. Existing industry contacts will be provided to get started.

The top line is the ability to develop credible leads, to target, in an efficient and professional manner in the hotel industry.
Required
Communication
Clear, concise and responsive communication is non-negotiable for this role. This is critical at this stage in the company's development. This includes refined and thorough presentation and preparation skills.
Methods will be employed and proven. This is where we want you to demonstrate what you have done in the past that has worked for you. Strategy and tactics.
Collaboration
This simply means either being familiar or getting familiar with cloud driven platforms that allow for quick communication on critical documents and materials.
Problem solvers only. This role is for someone who presets recommendations rather than issues. We consider negotiation as collaboration here too. We want to work with our prospects and clients to understand exactly how we can match our amazing service to their business, including commercial fit.
