Mid-Senior Mobile Developer

We are changing the way dental care is managed by bringing dental check-ups to the home using our patented intraoral imaging device and ai powered diagnostics solution for early detection and preventive action. Oral health is crucial to good general health and by lowering the barrier to access to dental care, reducing costs, and making it much more convenient, we will have a real impact on people's well-being.

To fuel our rapid development we are looking for a Mobile Developer with strong iOS Swift and Android (Kotlin) development experience to join the team. This is an opportunity to join a well-funded VC and strategically backed startup that is making a difference in the new healthcare environment that COVID has created. Working closely with our tech team to create a great product. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute their strong experience and knowledge while continuing to reinforce and learn new skills. Smiletronix will provide the right environment and support structure for experienced voices to be heard and provide a real contribution to a great product.

Requirements:

• Mid-Senior level
• At least 4 years of experience in mobile development using iOS and Android
• Significant and very good coding skills in at least one of iOS Swift or Kotlin with an understanding of the other
• Understanding and applying the SOLID principle and knowledge of using CI/CD for different deployments.
• Up to date with the latest mobile frameworks and libraries
• Proficiency with version control systems and workflows using Git and strong documentation skills.
• A product focus with an eye for good UI/UX to build a user-focused app.
• Knowledge of test-driven development
• Experience with RESTful Services and API connection
• You’re structured and creative enough to solve the most challenging problems independently, given the necessary knowledge. You learn new concepts and skills rapidly, and love to nerd out and go in-depth.
• You understand the need to compromise perfection in order to achieve results and move quickly in a commercial environment. Sometimes shortcuts are needed.
• You have a long-standing, proven passion for software development Writing high-quality, clean code that is paired with automated unit and integration tests.
• Bonus: MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or Relevant Field.
• Experience with digital health and wellness products is a plus.
• Ability to adapt quickly with a hunger to learn quickly and take on more responsibility
• Excellent communication skills. You can ask the right questions, adapt to explain/report in high-level or low-level terms to cater to each audience.
