The Role

Meet Smiletronix, an award-winning digital health start-up revolutionizing the dental care industry.

We are changing the way dental care is managed by bringing dental check-ups to the home using our patented intraoral imaging device and ai powered diagnostics solution for early detection and preventive action. Oral health is crucial to good general health and by lowering access to dental care, reducing costs, and making it much more convenient, we will have a real impact on people's well-being.

To fuel our rapid development we are looking for a Project and Delivery Manager to join our team. This a dual across Project management and Delivery Management suited to someone with experience designing/engineer electronic devices (preferably medical devices) and also project managing the development from prototype to production-ready product. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, venture-backed, and global start-up where you can have an immediate impact and be a key member of the team. Your expertise and knowledge will help you deliver pioneering visions and have a huge impact on the success of Smiletronix.

This opportunity is open to those looking for permanent positions only, however, we may consider a project basis of 6-9months if that is what the candidate prefers. Due to the physical nature of our product, it requires significant on-site presence, however, a hybrid of semi-remote can be negotiated.

Experience :
-Mid-high Level
-5+ years in hardware/device product development
-2+ years in project management ideally in the medical device development

Responsibilities:
-Project Management of device development from current version through to production version. Liaising with internal and external engineers, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
-Selection and relationship management of manufacturers.
Working with regulatory affairs personal to ensure technical documentation and process are being adhered to.
-Working with Chief Dental officer to Project management and hands-on involvement with internal and external testing, eventually clinical trials.
-Operations management of selected manufacturing, including quality control and logistics.

Requirements:
-Proven experience in a relevant hardware/device developer role. As a product designer, industrial designer, mechanical engineer, biomechanical engineer, industrial designer, embedded systems engineer, or similar
-Extensive knowledge of product design lifecycle from prototyping to testing and production.
-Experience project managing a device development, maintaining design history file, and following strict -Quality Management System guidelines.
-Knowledge and experience in managing stakeholders in device manufacturing, including sourcing, negotiating, and monitoring.
-You’re structured and creative enough to solve the most challenging problems, given the necessary knowledge. You learn new concepts and skills rapidly, and love to nerd out and go in-depth.
-You understand the need to compromise perfection in order to achieve results and move quickly in a commercial environment.
-You have a long-standing, proven passion for physical technology and love well built and high-quality product
-You use Initiative, can plan development, and execute effectively.
-Good communication skills. You can ask the right questions, adapt to explain/report in high-level or low-level terms to cater to each audience.
-MS/Ph.D. in an engineering discipline.
