Position Title: Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications: BASc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
Position Type: Full-time 40hrs/week

What we are looking for:
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the environment and are excited to build sustainable solutions for the energy storage industry! The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for contributing to the mechanical design, testing, and manufacture planning of energy systems. This is a unique opportunity to build hands-on skills with EV hardware.
Responsibilities: **
**Mechanical Design: Contributing to the mechanical design and integration of an energy storage system. Producing clean and accurate mechanical drawings and documentation for manufacture. Developing and maintaining detailed design documentation and test reports.
Manufacturing: Assisting in hands-on fabrication and assembly of early-production enclosures. Researching and implementing an in-house assembly plan, including exploring manufacture outsourcing solutions.
UL Certification: Ensuring design compliance with UL certification and assisting in the UL certification process.
*Useful Experience: *
Experience with basic electrical lab equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc..)
Previous hands-on experience working with shop tools (drills, grinders, etc..)
Experience in a start-up and/or manufacturing environment
