The Company
A well-capitalised and ambitious startup early in our growth story. With a young team in a growing industry, we are looking to change the finance industry and build a media company that speaks to the next generation of everyday investors. To do this, we need to be the only place to turn for financial content that engages, educates, and entertains.

We want to build a platform that houses a stable of digital media, information and resources for our audience regardless of where they are on their investing journey. We want to grow Equity Mates in Australia, and abroad.

The Role
As our Growth Marketing Manager you will be responsible for building the Equity Mates brand, as well as audience growth across all channels through full-funnel marketing.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building brands, has a knack for growth marketing, and importantly, experience on the tools. Someone who can provide direction to audience growth strategy. Experience in leading and executing scaled, full-funnel marketing programs is essential.

We want someone itching to be part of start-up life. We’re a small team and we’re looking for someone who can work independently and we can build a team around. Given we’re a startup, the expectation is that this role is not bound by the responsibilities in this description.

Finance is traditionally seen as boring, we’re looking to change that. You will be in-tune with industry trends, but willing to buck trends and do things differently. We are not afraid to make mistakes and are always learning from failures. We want to be one step ahead of the competition’s next move, and not afraid to push the boundaries.

Day to day, you will:

• Tell the Equity Mates story and bring it to life - taking our brand awareness to the next level. You’ll also drive audience growth across the podcast network, social media channels, YouTube and eDM
• Define & execute the marketing strategy for Equity Mates Media Australian markets, ensuring each shows’ voice and target market is appropriately represented and targeted, while always representing the umbrella brand
• Define & execute the marketing strategy for international markets, growing the penetration of audience from overseas
• Drive end-to-end campaign delivery from establishing the strategy to designing & building the creative and media execution
• Lead the development of effective ad copy
• Allocate the marketing budget across all channels and stages of customer acquisition
• Constantly look to do things better, leveraging insights from analytics to optimise channel & campaign performance and work closely with the co-founders and the rest of the team

Who are you?

• A smart, ‘roll-up-the-sleeves’ self-starter
• An all-rounder marketing professional with 3 - 5 years’ experience in digital, paid, and consumer marketing
• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
• Google AdWords & Facebook certified
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience allocating and managing a marketing budget
• You bring a positive outlook and passion for the Equity Mates brand
• You can work efficiently in an unstructured environment and do well in fast paced, dynamic environments where critical thinking and innovation are important to achieve success
