As an Engineer II - Test, you will be involved in new product introduction within the Operations group. You will be responsible in the planning and execution of manufacturing test strategy for internal and contract manufacturing house. You will work with the design teams to develop test platform solution required for a new product and improve or add test capability to an existing test platform. You will make recommendations in product design to improve test coverage. You will work on the standardization and optimization of the test processes and methodology, to enhance quality and operational efficiency in production.

Responsibilities:

  • Define manufacturing test strategy and collaborate with Development team in developing test solutions.

  • Write test plans, procedures, and drive end to end test coverage based on product requirements.

  • Design, build, and deploy automated test equipment to either internal manufacturing or contract manufacturing house.

  • Develop automated test scripts for functional and system test using combination of Python, LabView and Teststand.

  • Write documentation and procedures for validation, installation, and maintenance of ATE systems.

  • Drive test yield improvements and provide technical expertise in resolving test issue and drive to closure with preventive measures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical related experience.

  • Working knowledge of CPU based system architecture testing methodology.

  • Experience with creating end to end manufacturing test strategies that cover from Structural through Functional and System test.

  • 2.5+ years of experience developing manufacturing test solutions using various scripting languages, particularly Python. Knowledge with NI’s Teststand and LabView is a plus.

  • Experience in developing a test platform by integrating off the shelf test equipment and designing test fixtures.

  • Experience with PC based communication protocol - RS232, GPIB, SSH, Telnet and TCP.

  • Experience with software-based control of test gears: Power Supplies, Function Generators, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Counters, Network Analyzer, Traffic Generator, etc.

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to manufacturing sites – domestic and international.

**Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP and Tableau).

  • Prior experience with SQL database.

  • Knowledge in Linux computing environment.

  • Experience with JTAG/ Boundary Scan board design and test vector development.
