As a member of FPGA design team, you will be working with cross functional teams such as hardware, firmware and software to define the FPGA functionality, create custom specifications, deliver the design and perform the system integration test.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop multiplatform FPGA and System-on-Chip design for Sodick's next generation products.
  • Develop FPGA design specifications, communicate and verify these specifications with the embedded software team, and implement these in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Assist software engineering during integration phase and debug flow problems.
  • Develop and own functional blocks to be used on multiple platforms.
  • Hands on debug capability using lab equipment and JTAG.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of FPGA design and verification (Xilinx/Microsemi/Intel devices) experience in the industry.
  • Industry experience with HDL languages like Verilog, VHDL a must.
  • Experience with the full life cycle of FPGA development from architecture through product release.
  • Control Systems and/or Networking knowledge is a BIG PLUS.
  • BS/MS degree in EE/CE or equivalent.
