Research Analyst

Cvetlo is a digital currency hedge fund investing in the blockchain ecosystem. Our partners are veterans in the crypto space, having built successful venture-backed tech companies and funds since 2013. We are seeking a full-time Research Analyst to join our entrepreneurial team, contribute to idea generation, lead due diligence, and track the fund’s open positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence through deep fundamental and technical research into select projects
• Thoroughly analyze sectors and individual projects to prepare detailed research reports with quantifiable metrics, real life use cases, and fact based recommendations
• Develop expertise across our focus areas to identify leaders and market opportunity gaps
• Form unique insights from 3rd party research and whitepapers
• Manage data collection process to track our portfolio, crypto markets, news events, and target investment KPIs
• Contribute to idea generation of investment opportunities, new fund strategies and assist in developing the team’s collective ideas into actionable trades

Requirements

• Demonstrable self-starter comfortable in small team environments
• A fascination with the crypto ecosystem
• Experience with cryptocurrency investing
• 4 hours of workday overlap with 8am-6pm US Eastern Time
• Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Science/Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
• Excellent analytical, quantitative skills with an attention to detail

Nice to haves

• A professional qualification in Financial Markets
• Programming experience in one or more of the following: JavaScript, C++, Python, Java or Solidity
• Deep technical understanding of cryptography and web architecture
• Financial modelling and valuation experience
