ABOUT THE ROLE
The Venture associate is a key hire for our business, leading our work with cities around the world to develop and launch new propositions to tackle cities' most pressing urban challenges.
In the role you will work with city authorities to identify their most pressing challenges and use our co-creation framework for developing new propositions, bringing together public and private sector partners to develop and launch exciting solutions to our urban challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Venture Manager you will use your skills to:
- Work with city leaders around the world to identify their most pressing challenges and validate these insights through data research
- Develop challenge programmes and launch to a global audience using our technology platform
- Assess required capabilities and capacities to develop a partner sourcing strategy
- Identify and engage challenge and community partners to bring assets, testbeds and expertise to the programme
- Support the defininition of the business model options and case for new propositions
- Support the definition of the commercial launch and go-to-market strategy
- Collaborate with the public sector counterparts, as well as partners and investors, to define a minimum viable business (proof of concept) build.
- Liaise with investors to secure seed funding to scale new propositions developed within programme
- Support project management throughout the programme, working with cities and senior stakeholders to deliver a successful programme
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a background in leading consulting/technology projects and detail orientated
- Be experienced in working on urban challenges
- Have design and/or product development expertise;
- Be entrepreneurially minded
- Be confident in managing multiple stakeholders and operating to a tight timeline
