About the team.

Our Crisis Services team is a multidisciplinary group of mental health professionals who form a part of a vibrant state supported system that offers three different care modalities to Colorado residents who need urgent mental health care. The continuum includes a Walk in Clinic (WIC) serving all ages that features immediate assessment, support, short term treatment and referrals to various levels of care. A 24-hour Crisis Stabilization Unit for adults that provides intensive behavioral health crisis intervention for up to five days as well as a respite program, and a residential floor that allows further mental health stabilization in a safe environment.

About the role.

The Nurse Manager’s responsibilities are interwoven throughout each program overseeing nursing assessments, therapeutic groups, medication administration, psycho- education, and support, in close collaboration with other leaders. It is the Nurse Manager’s job to ensure that nursing staff deliver outstanding clinical/nursing care for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:

Managerial Accountabilities: Lead employees, maintaining team focus and direction. Hire, provide performance feedback and coaching, and fire employees in accord with organization guidance. Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability. Cascade information from sr. leadership to lower levels in alignment with organization strategy and goals. Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations. Define and monitor group-level performance indicators. Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber.)
Perform nursing interventions for which an RN has been trained to do.
Observe, identify, and monitor condition of patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates the same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
Administer injections and medications, as required.
Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
Accurately and completely charts interventions, lab results, medications dispensed and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization's procedures.
Articulate, communicate, and hold nursing staff accountable for performance expectations, access-to-care targets, and patient experience goals.
Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
About you.

The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting people through mental health crises, works well in an interdisciplinary environment, enjoys building and supporting teams, and is able to balance the need for flexibility while ensuring high quality standards are met. Candidates should have a BSN, an active Registered Nursing License in good standing, two years of psychiatric/mental health nursing experience, a history of successfully managing nursing teams, and worked successfully in a psychiatric inpatient and/or crisis setting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing.
Four years' of relevant clinical experience.
Two years' of leadership experience.
State of Colorado Registered in good standing.
Ability to administer medications and injections.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Effective organizational and leadership skills.
Effective problem solving skills.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record with proficiency.
Compensation, Benefits & Perks.

Starting Salary for this role (based on experience and company equity):

$85,000.00
Additional Compensation and Bonuses:

Sign-On Bonus: $4,000.00
Language Differential Pay (For Bilingual Candidates):

5% of base salary up to $3,000/year
