Product Manager

We are an early-stage start-up looking for a Product Manager to help us develop a powerful search engine for our new circular luxury platform in China: www.dejawooo.com.

What we're looking for
• Tech experience to help program a powerful search engine
• Experience managing a web agency
• Passion for the solution we are looking to offer and its role in the sustainability movement
• Python experience highly preferred

Job requirements
• Set technical development timeline and priorities for the delivery of a powerful search engine (and potentially an APP)
• Manage our web agency (located in China) - with the help of our COO (bilingual English/CN) to deliver on execution
• Set the standard for front-end interface, back-end systems and REST APIs
• Manage the delivery of software changes
• Review, lead and manage external vendors as needed

Skills/Experience
• Platform development management – front-end and back-end
• Project management - including direct reports from software developer/external vendors

• Search engine and aggregation programming, e.g. API, crawling
• Backend development languages, e.g. Python (preferred), JavaScript,Ruby, NodeJS
• Globally supported framework (frontend and backend), e.g. Angular, React, Vue, Laravel or Flask
• Database design and management: SQL, NoSQL
• Server management and deployment for the relevant environment
• Experience working with at least one cloud environment: Aliyun, Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficiency with Git or another version control system
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries, such as: Sass, Less, and webpack
• Experience with user experience and/or product strategy helpful
• Experience working with a start-up a plus
• Mandarin speakers a plus
