About the Role:
See the need → design the solution → build the product

You are an ace full stack developer who is also a UI/UX nerd with strong past experience in designing and building out front-end and back-end software. You communicate clearly, have a knack for working collaboratively with a remote startup team, and work to build valuable software solutions and design incredible experiences for our customers.

This role comprises 3-6 months of contract-basis work (health and dental benefits are covered) with strong potential for a full-time employment offer within 6 months following demonstrated success. AddEvent offers highly competitive benefits packages for full-time employees.

While AddEvent is based in San Mateo, California, we have a distributed team and this position is offered remotely. This allows you incredible flexibility to live and work wherever you desire, while still being a core team member of a fast-growing technology startup.

Responsibilities:

• Design beautiful, intuitive and viral UX and UI for new products
• Build incredible software – high-quality, secure, and valuable
• Improve website functionality and maintain aspects of our client-facing applications
• Strategize and manage timelines and task management for site launches and updates
• Help build a world-class and seamless development team

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly skilled in user experience and user interface design
• Fluent in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Fluent in PHP and MySQL (especially in high-load projects) and able to think in OOP
• Comfortable coding without frameworks (jQuery and vanilla JS is all we use)
• Consistent in writing clean, secure, documented and scalable code
• Able to build and implement APIs and 3rd-party integrations (or able to learn)
• Able to translate new software concepts into concrete, actionable development tasks
• Able to show past projects and discuss the process used in designing & building them
• You display exceptional time management and organizational skills that enable you to consistently meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once
