Qualifications : Either B.Tech in Food technology/Dairy Technology/ Mechanical engineering/ Chemical engineering or diploma in similar fields. However, willing to look at other candidates with great communication skills and hunger to grow as a business development professional.
Preferably should have 2-4 years of technical sales experience selling to dairies/food & beverages or similar sector. Must have sold some equipment in the above spaces.
Job Roles :
a) Prospecting potential customers, identifying leads, setting up initial discussions.
b) Meeting potential clients at client site, concept-selling the product and first level discussions.
c) Meeting technical decision makers, including operators, plant managers at client site and discussing product features and value to the client.
d) Documenting the entire sales process with clients, including time of engagement, nature of response, time to follow-up, sizing the client potential, etc
e) Follow up with leads on regular basis, and continuous engagement with client to identify sales purchase process.
f) Execute against sales strategy defined by company and give constant feedback on effectiveness of strategy.
g) Regular updates with top management on progress.
Job will involve 15% of desk job (for prospecting, reporting, analysis etc), and 85% on the field interacting with clients.
Requirements in ideal candidate:
a) Must enjoy talking to new people and need to solve client problems.
b) Job is primarily on the field so candidate must be willing to travel.
c) Good communication skills – good command over English and Hindi (knowing the local language is a bonus)
