About our Frontend Developer position

We are looking for a Frontend web developer willing to combine the art of design with the science of programming. You will translate the UX / UI design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UX / UI designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and how it works.

Experience & Responsibilities

7+ years experience in digital product design and being comfortable with people-centred design processes is a must
Experience on modern HTML and CSS production-level specifications, techniques and tools
We are building on Rails, so familiarity with working with its frontend pipeline is key.
You will be in charge of our frontend for scalability by picking suitable methodologies
You will be the guardian for our frontend documentation and style guides
You will guide our strategy on the best stack of tools, from pre-processors to JS bundlers, to deploying Honest in a variety of devices and platforms
We need you to be able to explain how accessibility is not a liability but a requisite and a goal of a successful web interface
“Performance” will be a key metric and “Monitoring” an essential tool of a quality UI
Solid knowledge of modern vanilla Javascript
We’re not as of yet committed to any particular JS frontend framework. However, we will appreciate you discussing the pros/cons of existing ones and your proclivity to make a quick assessment of the next Next Big Thing being useful to Honest
We need you to have a keen interest in keeping up-to-date with new developments in the frontend engineering space, while being able to advise or lead in the evolution of our stack
We need you to be able to communicate with your colleagues (UX designers and product owners in particular) in an agile and efficient manner
Proficiency in English / Spanish required

This is a full-time role in a fully-remote company
