Wordpress Developer/PHP Developer

We are looking for someone who loves the atmosphere and opportunity that comes with working in a boutique web and digital marketing agency that specialises in online marketing services for local and international clients. We are a young, friendly team who is currently working remotely.

This is a remote position. We welcome candidates from any location. Resumes are to be submitted in English. We do not provide visa sponsorship at this moment.

Responsibilities

• Able to scrape Websites
• Build pages in WordPress using scraped data
• Develop and maintain complex WordPress-based applications
• Design, build and manage website both front-end and back-end including database and server integration.
• Implement complex features using modern CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code and patterns
• Create website architecture to generate new features and plugins, custom functionality, and custom pages.
• Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoots content issues.
• Monitor the performance of the live website.
• Cross-browser and device compatibility testing.
• PHP/HTML/CSS/ Javascript development.

Requirements

• Expert as a WordPress Developer.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
• Skilled at crafting modern PHP architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of utilising WordPress core functionality (I.E - Action/filter hooks, CPT/Taxonomies, conditionals etc).
• Sound knowledge of the Bootstrap framework.
• Sound knowledge of Website scraper tools
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• A portfolio of previous projects (local/production) to show implementing core and extending WordPress functionality.
