Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Maximl’s Engineering team is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise product. We are currently expanding our team and are looking for experienced folks with strong technical background.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, improve, and optimize backend infrastructure.
• Implement scalable REST APIs that are used by our internal team and customers.
• Work closely with the Azure DevOps to integrate and deploy the code to the cloud.
• Build and design data schemas for storing and retrieving information for the web platform
• Implement and enforce software development lifecycle best practices including CI/CD and API testing.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation.
• Provide strategic and operational oversight for Enterprise software product development and mentor a team of junior developers.
• Develop and drive execution on 6 month and 1-year road maps

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Enterprise Software
• Strong at basic mathematics, analysis and algorithms
• Experience with Django/Python, optimizing SQL queries, and profiling of code for performance.
• Experience in working with a task queue (eg. Celery)
• Experience with leveraging technologies throughout the stack for caching to attain scalability
• Experience with working with any one cloud provider (AWS / Azure)
• Familiarity with working with a web server (Nginx etc), Redis
• Strong Familiarity in microservice architecture, REST API and CRUD Design
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be able to demonstrate their experience with code documentation and understanding of frameworks to describe software architecture such as C4 diagrams
• Ability to work with remote teams

Preferred Skills:

• Worked on a Django project which has been hosted and used by 5000+ users
• Experience in maintaining API documentation (Swagger, Postman etc.)
• Experience in managing / setting up a Kubernetes cluster
• Skilled at performing load testing on servers using tools like Apache Jmeter etc.
