EnMovi is an exciting, newly formed digital therapeutics joint venture between McLaren Applied Ltd. and OrthoSensor, a US-based, orthopaedic technology company. Enmovi has multiple offices in Glasgow and London with over 25 employees world wide. The main focus of the company is launching a set of wearable sensors to gather data about the rate of recovery after knee operations, known as ‘Motionsense’ and ‘OrthoLogIQ’. Both technologies have the capability to monitor the patient’s journey pre, intra and post-operatively, empowering surgeons and patients with comprehensive data-driven solutions.
We are looking to offer an R&D engineer position with an immediate start. You will work alongside the Enmovi head of systems engineering on the final stages of design verification and validation test work for ‘Motionsense’, Enmovi’s patient wearable and the development of future products.
Your initial project will be evaluating poitrinal upgrades and improvements to the current product that alignment with the business plan of the company.
You will be primarily responsible for:
- Investigation of new and more power efficient, accurate sensors and components
- Power optimization and cost reduction
- Development of Proof of concept prototypes, new features and hardware.
Necessary experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Electronic and Software domains
- Circuit design, PCB design, prototyping
- Writing software and code to enable prototypes to work
- Practical and hands-on skills (Soldering, prototyping etc.)
- Knowledge of wearable market and sensors used such devices as IMU’s, PPG Temperature sensors etc…
- Working in a cross functional team spanning multiple disciplines to create end to end IOT solutions
- Ability to extract and define functionality needed from loose business requirements
Desirable experience:
- Large portfolio of developed prototypes
- Debugging and designing electrical circuits
- Medical devices experience preferable but not required
- Good work ethic, organizational skills
This role will be full time with a competitive salary. Based in the London or Glasgow office however for the near-term remote working may be required at times.
