UI/UX Design Intern

ABOUT LISTACROSS
At ListAcross we're building a growing team of innovators going after a huge market by putting the user at the center. We're creating a company built on technology, design, and data, so our users can take their sales to the next level. Our platform enables brick-and-mortar retailers and eCommerce sellers to leverage P2P marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, etc.) to "level up" with a suite of tools that lets them sell anything, everywhere. Our channel manager allows seamless cross-posting, renewals, and de-listing, and our inventory management and communications tools help sellers increase revenue and maximize sales velocity.

After graduating from a prestigious accelerator and raising our pre-seed funding round, we are now laser focused on an aggressive development cycle, so we can beta test and ship our product ASAP!

THE ROLE
We have an immediate opening for a UI/UX intern to be our digital storyteller across multiple social media platforms. In this role, you will own development and execution of ListAcross’ site design updates, migrate design files into Adobe XD for implementation into the frontend, conduct user research, manage feedback loops, iterate on existing designs, and devise new user journeys based on customer feedback.

ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate should be a passionate content creator, a self-starter, efficient in both autonomous and collaborative environments, and be receptive to feedback. Personal accountability, accountability to the team, and an ability to work effectively autonomously under deadlines are essential.

We are happy to consider remote candidates (our entire team is remote), and while this internship is unpaid, we are happy to work with academic institutions if you would like to receive academic credit.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and update ListAcross platform pages in a manner than maintains key functionality while driving and improving engagement and efficiency.
• Design mobile versions of key platform features.
• Conduct user research by reaching out to customers to understand their needs, wants, and pain points.
• Create ideal customer profiles and personas, and manage customer feedback loops and surveys.
• Conduct research on required and optional fields across categories on various channels, and implement findings into designs by building engaging and efficient user journeys.
• Create an overarching site map and iterate on the site map as may be necessary or appropriate.
• Create a series of visual tutorials around all functional components of the site to implement on FreshDesk. Tutorials should start as static content (photos, copy, etc.), and to video.
• Implement visual help tools through the use of overlaid products like Minverva and MarkUp.ai.
• Build structures for capturing and analyzing customer feedback during our private beta.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency with Adobe XD, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, AfterEffects, etc.) for visual content creation are a must.
• Strong experience with Adobe XD, Figma, Zeplin, Sketch, and InVision. Candidates with experience with Adobe AfterEffects or similar video creation software preferred.
• Candidates with frontend or full-stack development skills are strongly preferred (React, React Native, Python (Django), Flutter, Javascript).
• Visually-driven with an exceptional eye for smart, creative, effective content. You appreciate and admire the art of high-quality brand content and its nuances.
• Forward-thinking mentality to spearhead innovation around content creation, community growth, and engagement. You like to experiment and quickly iterate to see what works!
• Feedback-seeking attitude with ability to pivot as necessary.
• Comfortable in an unstructured, dynamic work environment of a startup and able to autonomously create organizational structures and systems.
• A “How can I help?” mindset; a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what’s needed to help the brand grow and scale.
• Familiarity with CRMs and CS platforms (HubSpot, FreshDesk, etc.) preferred

ROLE TYPE, TERM
Role Type: Internship
Term: 3-6 months, with possibility to renew
Internship Compensation: College Credit, Unpaid
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible). Weekends are fine if desired.
