Intermediate Software / Electrical Engineer

Drinkfill is a zero-waste tech company. We envision a world without single-use plastics and want to facilitate this future with our plastic-free beverage vending machine. Our goal is to create a massive network of these stations so that living a plastic-free lifestyle becomes seamless and easy.

We need a Software Engineer who wants to change and improve the world. This person is uncompromising about using technology as a tool for the betterment of our society. They are highly committed and motivated. Skills that are required include ability to work under tight deadlines, think in compartmentalized and structured ways, as well as excellent communication abilities. Of course, their engineering chops must be top notch.

This position is applicable to electrical engineers as well.

As a software developer, you will work on both front-end and back-end implementation, as well as maintaining the clean code base. There are occasions where you might be required to help the hardware team with simple hardware assembly tasks. We are looking for someone who has a strong drive and strong implementation skill set.

If there is a strength in software engineer

• Communicate clearly any issues that will delay development progress
• Implement GUI and software architecture
• Design and implement a database to store simple data
• Maintain code repository and handle merge requests
• Implement communication channels between software and hardware components
• Integrate payment merchant's API to Drinkfill software
• Develop partner portal and participate in full stack development
• Assist in simple hardware assembly tasks such as soldering, and parts assembly

If there is a strength in electrical or electronic engineering

• Supporting the teams in validating electrical components
• Schematic capture and PCB layout for high-speed digital, analog, and power supply electronics
• Design, test, debug, and modify circuit boards
• Wiring of electrical components
• Develop, modify, and maintain firmware
• Design and documentation of engineering specialty (such as mechanical, electrical, power electronics, or software/firmware)
• Assist in software coding
