Hackathon Project Manager

AngelHack is looking for an experienced hackathon project manager to work collaboratively with our clients and global AngelHack team. As a hackathon project manager your goal is to understand the clients overall needs, coach the client on hackathon best practices and devise a hackathon scope and strategy that will help them achieve their goals. Working alongside a dedicated marketing manager the project manager will do the following:

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of project.
2. Ensure that the project and phases are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
3. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
4. Advise in the development of a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
5. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
6. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
7. Report and escalate to management as needed.
8. Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
9. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. 10.Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
10. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

1. Expereince with hackathon planning preferably with/for corporate clients
2. Proven working experience in project management
3. An understanding with software development and web technologies.
4. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
7. Comfortable using Google Docs and Sheets and group communication tools like Slack.
