Underwriter

We are pioneering a new underwriting model. We combine powerful data science and expert human review to evaluate a borrower for financing, match them to lenders, communicate risks to decision makers, keep bad actors off our platform, and stand behind our creditworthy clients. We are recruiting the first cohort of underwriters who will implement our model.

What You’ll Do

* Develop expertise in lender programs and policies
* Review loan applications and automated underwriting results
* Match a borrower to lenders, highlight risks, and prepare the loan package sent to lenders
* Interact with borrowers to address gaps and issues in their loan file
* Answer questions from lenders about loan files
* Act as a first line of defense in managing risk
* Bring “voice of risk” to our products

What We Look For

* 2-5 years of consulting or risk management experience
* Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field
* Excellent at reviewing automated analyses for anomalies, synthesizing observations to form an opinion about risks, and engaging clients to understand, explain and resolve issues
* Obsessive about accuracy with keen attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Potential to build and lead an underwriting team
