About this role
Particular Audience is a multinational AI startup headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Based in Sydney, our big data and AI platform team is made up of leading big data and machine learning engineers. As we enter a period of rapid growth, we are now looking to expand the team.

AI interested software engineers are encouraged to apply for roles ranging from DevOps through to Big Data Engineering and will have the opportunity to work on and shape our cloud-based infrastructure, data pipelines, AI systems (collaborative filtering, NLP and computer vision) and supporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Backend design and development following Microservice principles
• Development for Computer Vision related projects
• Engage with stakeholders and team members to understand and scope DevOps requirements
• Troubleshooting for technical problems and root cause analysis
• Cloud-based infrastructure management
• Kubernetes DevOps
• Network management (Gateway, VPN, Security)
• Microservice DevOps
• Big data platform administration
• Machine learning platform administration
• Logging System Management
• CI/CD - integration and deployment
• Release Management & Version Control
• QA

Required Skills

• Rich development experience with API, data pipeline and/or Machine Learning stacks
• Proficient in one or more programming languages including but not limited to Python3, Scala or Java
• Rich experience in Docker, Linux and Shell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Kubenetes (Helm, Prometheus)
• Rich experience in administration of cloud platform (Azure, GCP or AWS)
• Solid knowledge of gateway and web security
• Hands-on experience of Microservice systems such as Service Mesh
• Knowledge about big data platforms like HDP, Cloudera, HDInsight, GCP, EMR etc.
• Deployment experience of Logging System e.g. ELK etc.
• Strong experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines

Desirable Skills

• Machine Learning knowledge and deployment experience
• Hands-on experience of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services) or similar
• Experience with DevOps of Istio, Linkerd
• Experience with Bitbucket, CircleCI, Ansible
• Familiar with JIRA workflow, version control etc.
• Administration knowledge of big data platform
• Experience in operational system building
