Senior Software Engineer

We are a young MedTech spin-off in Berlin founded out of Europe's largest university hospital (Charité) and Berlin's technical university (www.aignostics.com). Our vision is to revolutionize clinical diagnostics in pathology and drug research with AI. Following a recent $6m seed funding round, we are looking to expand the team.

This is a unique opportunity to join a diverse team of pathologists, biologists, data scientists, ML engineers and software developers to work on problems that really matter.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor and/or Masters in Computer Science (or similar field) from renowned universities
• Several years of work experience in (agile) SW development (at a leading ML company) including:
  
  • ability to write high-quality code that is robust and easy to maintain
  • experience in using a CI/CD systems, code reviews and other standards to keep up code quality
• Experience in designing, implementing, operating and analyzing software systems
• Experience with (distributed) data processing systems (Spark, Hadoop), databases, and cloud infrastructure (GCloud, AWS)
  • Good understanding of parallel computing, system efficiency and scalability is a plus.
• Proficient in Python and Linux systems, ideally in a data science setup
• Driven self-starter, well-organized, and a strong team player
