Senior Fullstack Ruby Engineer

Hypofriend is a next generation online mortgage advisor using proprietary technology to find customers the best mortgage possible.

Unlike other mortgage advisors or brokers, we use financial insights to guide our customers. We provide customers with tools that help them navigate through the entire process from start to finish, from making buying decisions and affordability checks to choosing the optimal mortgage product for their situation thanks to our proprietary algorithm.

**What your day could look like:

You will join our CTO and four engineers to work on our exciting product. You will have one day a week in the office for meetings and alignment with team members. 4 days a week working on tasks remotely. Every day at 10 am we gather for our stand-up and we communicate regularly via our Slack channels if you or others need help. As we are getting better in planning, your tasks and ticket will be well defined before you start working on them, if not the ticket holder will help by explaining the next steps in order to finish the task. We believe in working self-responsibly and will help you achieve this too, so we can deliver a great end to end experience to our customers. Together with our CTO, you will guide your teammates through the entire feature development process, from identifying requirements to successful development, including end to end testing. Our plan is to split our team into two teams once we have found you and our next 2 colleagues which should be very exciting!

**What you should bring:

• Active commercial experience with Ruby 2.5 is minimum (min 4-5 years)
• Rails 5 and 6 experience
• RSpec 3.9 experience
• Good grasp of OO patterns
• Knowledge of AWS is nice to have (Ruby AWS Lambda)
• RDMS experience (PostgreSQL 11+)
• Sentry / Github and Travis are your best friends
