The Role:

We are seeking a talented Cyber SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. The role will be the point of contact for out of UK hours operational security support.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security alerts and incidents using a variety of security tools, including CrowdStrike Falcon, Splunk, Netskope, AWS Security Hub, M365 Compliance and Purview, Darktrace Antigena, Azure Active Directory, Jira, Slack and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts and incidents using various security tools and platforms.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response and standard operating procedures for security operations tasks.
  • Create and optimise security use cases and alerts to enhance detection capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain security dashboards to provide visibility into security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on security incidents, findings, and recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements (Must Have):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Proven experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
  • Strong understanding of incident investigation methodologies and procedures.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining security playbooks, use cases, and alerts.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
