Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Holidays: Colombian Holidays OFf
Salary Range: $1,000 - $1,250 USD/Month
Payment Frequency: Biweekly

Support Shepherd is a headhunter agency for finding top overseas talent for our clients. The Project Estimator is responsible for gathering, calculating, and compiling data to produce construction cost estimates for bid proposals. The successful candidate will collaborate within a team environment to produce accurate and competitive estimates in a timely manner. The Project Estimator holds ultimate responsibility for successfully bidding on assigned projects and conducting a thorough and detailed turnover of awarded projects to the operations team. This role reports to the Estimating Executive.
Responsibilities
- Reading and comprehending plans and specifications.
- Preparing bid scopes of work based on plans and specifications.
- Soliciting bids from vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintaining organized files of working documents.
- Collecting pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Qualifying and quantifying pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Preparing accurate bid proposals, including inclusions and exclusions.
- Assisting clients with preliminary budgeting and ROM pricing.
- Performing volumetric, linear, and area quantity verifications from various sources, including digital and printed plans.
- Calculating various statistical data related to quantity take-off.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Performing additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Experience in Bluebeam is a major plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook.
- Working experience in Viewpoint Spectrum is a significant advantage.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze problems and make sound decisions based on objectives, risk implications, and costs.
- Interpersonal skills: Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
- C1 English Proficiency.
