Role: Associate - Software Project Management
As a Software Project Management Associate at Akrity Computing, your main goal will be to ensure that the assigned projects are running smoothly and on track per the project plan. Whenever problems arise, raise red flags and ask for support from the right person to get the project back on track.
Responsibilities will include:
1) Sprint Planning
a) Create User Stories for the requirements received.
b) Identify and create Epics for the created User Stories.
c) Estimate and assign points for each user story based on rules.
d) Add assignees and due dates for the user stories selected in a sprint
2) Project Tracking on JIRA
a) Add the tasks for a sprint on JIRA.
b) Track the tasks in JIRA on a daily basis to see if everything is in place.
c) Raise Early Warnings and notify the related stakeholders in case of something is not going according to the plan.
d) Identify the daily challenges for the team, when you identify ask for the support of the right person in resolving the problem.
3) JIRA Management
a) Keep track of all the movements of tasks on JIRA
This role is suitable if you:
Are a natural communicator - don’t shy away from talking to people whenever required and keep an open line of communication with all stakeholders
Are proficient in Verbal and Written English communication - can express yourself well
Are detail oriented - able to collect detailed requirements and create detailed documents explaining the requirements
Are able to thoroughly collect relevant information from all stakeholders, make detailed project plans considering corner cases, and understand software features in detail
Are able to handle the rigorous nature of projects - work hard to make the projects
successful. Able to manage things even in the face of difficult circumstances or
deadlines
Take high ownership - naturally feel responsible for your work
Are Goal oriented - are alert about what can go wrong in projects and raise early
warnings to avoid setbacks in projects
You will be mentored by expert Technology Leaders and Delivery Managers who will be helping and guiding you.
Coding is not a prerequisite to be successful in this role but rather the understanding of how software teams operate and function, and how SDLC and agile software development function to complete a project.
