Frontend developer with UX skills

ClassHero is a EdTech Company that helps districts make the most of their curricular investments. Districts across the US invest in Math and Reading curriculum and resources that teachers have a hard time incorporating into daily instruction. ClassHero provides a layer of software that streamlines these resources and offers teachers 1-click workflows to meet the personalized needs of all students.

Job Description:

Alongside a world-class team of engineers, you will be responsible for the application’s user experience, user interface, the platform’s identity, and more. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating the best user experience possible, is both a team player and independent leader/thinker/risk-taker, considers themselves equally creative and technically minded, is a pro at gathering and understanding user requirements and is able to translate these understandings into high quality wireframes, CSS/ HTML and working Javascript code. Your ultimate goal is making ClassHero’s UX the best it can be (then making it even better!).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct UX research and understand requirements from team members, content partners and prospective/ existing customers.
• Design prototypes and wireframes
• Translate wireframes into functioning CSS/ HTML and working Javascript code

Skills You Need

• 3+ years related experience in building Saas UX and UI
• UI/UX Development or Design Experience using tools such as Figma
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and programming in Javascript
• Knowledge of responsive design
• Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Must be able to provide a portfolio of past work
