Remote Senior Backend PHP Wordpress

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development of WordPress-based websites, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate design concepts into fully functional websites.
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring optimal website functionality across different browsers and devices.
• Optimize website performance through code optimization, caching mechanisms, and other techniques.
• Implement security measures to safeguard websites against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development and incorporate them into projects as appropriate.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their professional growth within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during the development process or after website deployment.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Extensive experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, including customization and optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress coding standards, best practices, and security principles.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks such as Bootstrap.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services into WordPress websites is a plus.
