Farmers Market Sales Associate

THE ROLE
We are looking to selectively add Farmers' Markets Sales Associates to the company. This position
acts as the primary on-site representative and salesperson of JazzyJ's Creations at various farmers’
markets and pop-up sites. Sales Associates are responsible for orchestrating market stand set
up/break down, show consistency to earn top dollar, & prove premium customer service and product familiarity while representing JazzyJ's Creations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Pickup/drop off equipment, tools and inventory to set up and tear down sales booths at Farmers Market location
• Remain onsite during event hours (must be able to handle the elements of rain or shine events as we participate in some outdoor markets)
• Receive and record accurate payments via Square (NO CASH PAYMENTS)
• Display and sell our products at Farmers’ Markets and/or Pop-up events
• Display or demonstrate product using samples or emphasizing salable features
• Engage and be friendly with customers while selling, promoting the company, and informing customers about our products
• Efficiently communicate and report directly to the Supervisor
• Most importantly, have fun & network :)

Requirements

• Sales and customer service experience
• Valid Driver's License and registered vehicle
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to interact with all levels of guests, volunteers, management, and staff
• Must be able to be flexible with a weekly schedule
• Willing to stand for long periods of time
• Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 40 pounds with and/or without assistance
• Coachable to different systems such as electronic payment systems etc.

Location, Commitments & Pay

• Job Type: This is a part-time position that requires work from 1-4 days per week.
• Days: Every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) with occasional weekday events
• Pay: $10/hr +10% of sales + Tips (Paid every Monday via electronic payment app of choice)
• Mileage Reimbursement: $.30 cents/mile (from storage to/from markets)
• Dry ice Reimbursement: Rounded to the nearest dollar per receipt
• Location: Flexible. Our markets are based in and around the Houston area (locations vary per week: Houston, Tomball, Conroe, The Woodlands, Galveston, Lake Jackson, Fulshear, Missouri City, Sugarland, etc.)
• Schedule: A schedule will be posted a week in advance, please communicate time off at least two weeks in advance to give us time to find a replacement for time off requested.
