*The Opportunity *
Join us in our mission to fortify government registries against financial crimes, employing your expertise in developing advanced ML/AI models for anomaly detection. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the efficacy of KYB AML practices and safeguarding against money laundering risks within these registries.
Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Engineer advanced ML/AI models to identify anomalies within government registries, specifically tailored for KYB AML compliance purposes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret registry data, uncovering irregularities and deviations indicative of potential money laundering risks.
- Root Cause Identification: Collaborate with stakeholders to pinpoint root causes behind anomalies, utilizing advanced analytics to trace and understand their impact within registry data.
Experience:
Basic Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or higher degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or relevant quantitative fields.
- Technical Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience using ML tools such as Python, R, Spark, TensorFlow, or similar platforms. Experience of Microsoft Azure cloud tooling for AI/ML is preferred.
- Analytical Techniques: Proficiency in machine learning techniques like classification, clustering, regression, statistical inference, as well as experience in data mining and analysis, and working with both structured and unstructured data.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and identify anomalies within complex datasets, a crucial skill for anomaly detection in government registries.
- Self-Reliance: Happy to work autonomously towards ambitious goals. Able to self-direct, solve problems, and work independently with input from colleagues.
Preferred Experience:
- Advanced Education: A PhD in relevant fields like Machine Learning, Statistics, or Data Science is advantageous.
- Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience in predictive modeling and analysis, especially within government registry data.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate and convey insights to diverse stakeholders.
- AML/KYB Background: Experience or familiarity with KYB AML practices and the regulatory environment surrounding governmental registries used for these checks.
