Polinode is a SaaS company that provides both large enterprises and consultants to enterprises with tools to visualize and analyze the informal relationships (i.e. who works with whom) within organisations. Within enterprises we often work directly with People Analytics teams to support applications such as: identifying cultural influencers, change management, succession planning, supporting collaboration, addressing overload and understanding / improving diversity and inclusion. Polinode is a remote first company with a presence in both Australia and the United States. For this role we are looking for someone based in Australia.

About the Role

We have been experiencing strong demand from our clients for assistance with the analysis of their data. This is both data that we collect from relationship-based surveys as well as from direct integrations we have with Office 365, Microsoft Teams and Slack. You will take the lead on producing and presenting actionable insights to Polinode customers. The kinds of questions that you will be looking at include: How has collaboration changed? What is the relationship between engagement and network position? Are there parts of the organisation that are more or less inclusive? Which talented individuals may be potentially flying under radar or being under recognised? We work with incredibly rich datasets and this is just a sample of the kinds of things we assist with today.

Some More About What You Will Do

• Assisting in the scoping and delivery of analytical projects, i.e. work closely with Polinode customers to understand their key priorities and to deliver compelling analysis to address them
• Become proficient in Polinode’s organisational network analysis software and use it as a core component of delivering insights and solutions to our customers
• Communicate convincingly through visual storytelling
• Be a trusted advisor for our customers, always maintaining and respecting the high ethical standards we hold ourselves to, both with respect to the use of data and more generally
• Create and innovate as we continue to play a leading role in the organisational network analysis space

What We are Looking For

• 2 - 4+ years of experience in an analytical and client-facing role
• Experience in handling complex (and sometimes large) datasets
• Producing slides and working in Excel should be something you are very familiar with. Be prepared to tell us your favourite Excel function!
• We are flexible in the tools that we use but knowledge of R, Python or a similar language is required
• Knowledge of or exposure to machine learning and data visualisation techniques (clustering, regression, classification, etc.)
• Excellent numerical aptitude, with evidence of applied problem solving
• Ability to collaborate and develop market leading, innovative analytics
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. You are a strong listener and communicator
• Able to thrive in a startup environment— you move quickly and think strategically
• A passion for people and analytics
