We are looking for an exceptional engineering role at a with a proven record of delivering consistently in high growth and high scale environment. This role is expected to play a vital role in supporting high growth business, drive innovation and deliver the next generation of highly scalable, modular, and extensible big data platform technologies. These technologies are the foundation technologies and provide a common set of capabilities and interfaces to all Conviva products supporting real-time, near real-time and off-line analytics with an eye on the future. The next generation of Big Data Platform will support a multitude of existing and emerging technologies and enable different use cases. It will build a level of abstraction needed by different product engineering teams to build business functionalities in an extensible fashion without requiring understanding the underlying complexity.

• Be an influencer. Work with executives to understand challenges and collaborate across multiple stakeholders in a geographically distributed environment to solve them.
• Be a mentor & coach.Mentor multiple senior engineers to make them successful and contribute to the growth of talent in the China center.
• Be a customer advocate. Translate strategic needs and business asks into design and resolve ambiguity efficiently and with the customer in mind.
• Be a transformation agent.Champion best practices and sharing of components across teams.
• Be hands-on. Participate regularly in code and design reviews, drive technical prototypes and actively contribute to resolving difficult production issues.

Who You Are & What You've Done:

• MS or PhD in CS or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software engineering including 5+ years in SaaS or enterprise architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to succinctly communicate and influence complex technical blueprints.
• Expert on real time data processing and building large scale query serving applications.
• Expert on large scale distributed system and web service with good understanding of system design principles.
• Hands-on expertise in big data technologies. At least two and preferably several from Spark, Flink, Druid, Hadoop, Kafka & ClickHouse.
• Experienced in C++, Rust, Scala or Golang.
• Experienced in Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
• Working experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence leaders and senior engineers, in both Chinese and English.
• You thrive in a start-up environment and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
