Part-time Math Teachers

Forbest Academy is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to contribute their expertise in guiding students through the intricate realm of mathematics.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in educating students across all grade levels from Kindergarten to Grade 12. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, including guiding students through Advanced Placement (AP), Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), and International Baccalaureate (IB) curricula.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized and effective one-on-one or group tutoring sessions for students spanning Kindergarten to Grade 12.
• Design tailored lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the individual learning needs of each student.
• Cultivate an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages analytical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical exploration.
• Assist students in comprehending complex mathematical concepts and techniques.
• Prepare students for AP, SSAT, SAT, IB, and math contest exams by delivering targeted instruction and test-taking strategies.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and stakeholders to provide holistic support to students' educational growth.
• Stay updated with current teaching methodologies, educational trends, and innovative approaches to math education.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a relevant field;
• Master's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in various mathematical disciplines across Kindergarten to Grade 12 levels.
• Familiarity with the content and assessment criteria of AP, SSAT, SAT, IB, and math contests.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and empowering learning experience.
• Ability to tailor tutoring strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and preferences.
• Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using technology to enhance instruction and communication.
