The Role

Due to the highly collaborative nature of our business (and the fact that we enjoy spending time together), this is primarily an in-office position.

What you’ll do

As a People Generalist you will own end-to-end People processes for our German (HQ) and UK regions. We are looking for an experienced People Generalist who is not afraid to take on the challenge of supporting Choco and helping our People function to scale their operations effectively across regions.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to offboarding and be the main point of contact for all employment compliance and documentation.
  • Partner with our Payroll Specialist to ensure employee data and records are accurate for payroll and benefit processing.
  • Be first point of contact for general employee support such as questions on benefits, time-off, leave policy compliance and other ad-hoc people topics
  • Take the lead on immigration cases for new joiners in partnership with our external immigration provider (Expath)
  • Ensure HR data is kept up to date within the HRIS system (HiBob)
  • Meet regularly with EU People Business Partner team and keep your finger on the pulse of the business, providing insights and guidance when it comes to people topics and compliance concerns
  • Analyze the trends in the data and develop policies, solutions and processes aligned with the global setup
  • Drive and participate in local and global projects within the people team and across functions
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with the multinational HR team for global projects

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience as a HR Generalist, ideally in a high-growth start-up environment
  • Proven excellence in managing People processes at scale
  • C1 or fluent German speaking skills
  • Passion for coaching, developing and mentoring team members
  • Team first mentality
