Senior Illustrator

Job Description:
Join our team as a Junior Illustrator and bring science to life through captivating illustrations! As an integral part of our creative team, you'll be responsible for creating visually stunning and scientifically accurate illustrations for science books aimed at readers aged 12 to 16. Your artwork will make complex concepts accessible and engaging, inspiring the next generation of scientists and thinkers.

Responsibilities:

• Create visually appealing and accurate illustrations for science books targeting readers aged 12 to 16.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and team members to understand project requirements.
• Conduct research to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of illustrations.
• Translate scientific concepts into visually engaging artwork.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Stay updated on design trends and advancements in scientific illustration.
• Maintain organized files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative and visually appealing illustrations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in representing scientific concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Passion for science and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with design principles for the target audience (ages 12 to 16).
• Adaptability and openness to feedback.
• Experience in educational publishing or science-related content is a plus.
