Chief Advisor / CFO / COO / CFA

About this role:

Metagaming, Inc. is a dynamic and fast-growing startup operating in Crypto/Web3, Metaverse/Gaming, AI/ML. We are looking for Chief Advisor / CFO / COO to join our team.

This person may come from a variety of corporate governance and legal backgrounds, such as an Corporate Structuring, Corporate Accounting, Venture Capital Fundraising, Corporate Contracts, Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Advisory, Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis and more, but must have a deep understanding of the crypto industry, tokenomics, token distribution, decentralized governance structure, processes and system, and related regulatory and compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all company accounting practices, including budget preparation, financial reports, and tax functions.
• Contribute to financial strategy, planning and forecasts in consultation with executive management.
• Oversee and manage fundraising plans, token sales, and potential capital structuring.
• Design and review tokenomic and decentralized governance models and strategies.
• Liaise with financial partners, potential investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies in the crypto industry.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile in the context of web3/crypto.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the crypto field.

Qualifications:

• Background in one or more of the following: accounting, corporate finance, investment advising, tax law, specifically within the crypto or blockchain industry.
• Professional designation (CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of crypto economics, token sales, regulatory and compliance in the crypto field.
• Experience with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and related financial systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory and legal frameworks for digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to complex financial problems in the context of crypto.
• Experience in managing relationships with investors, financial institutions, auditors, and public officials in the crypto space.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.

Education:

• Masters' degree in accounting, finance, law, or business. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are highly preferred. Additional education or experience in blockchain or cryptocurrency is a major plus.
