Andrew HollarThe Role
Fig is building a digital food-as-medicine platform to help anyone with complex dietary needs live an easier, healthier life around food. We're a fast-growing, early-stage startup supporting over a million users and backed by top VCs including Sequoia, Artis Ventures, Goodwater Capital, and Correlation Ventures. Our users love us (4.8 stars on app stores) as Fig changes their lives: "THANK YOU!! It is sometimes such a struggle to find PCOS-compliant snacks, ingredients, etc. This app has truly changed my life in the 2 weeks I’ve had it!”
Fig’s mission is to help millions of people with dietary restrictions more easily find food. Our core product, the Fig phone app, already helps more than a million people navigate food at grocery stores and restaurants each month. We’re excited to hire a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of our app and redefine how people with dietary restrictions find and enjoy food.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for setting the strategic product direction, creating and prioritizing the product roadmap, and driving execution. This individual will work closely with our design, engineering, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure we're delivering the most value to our users and staying true to our mission.
What You will do:
- Drive product strategy and vision with Fig’s executive team.
- Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative features.
- Use customer insights, data analytics, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and strategy.
- Bring a world-class product management culture and process to Fig; create and manage the product roadmap.
- Be extremely results oriented; develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and ensure the team is focusing on the highest-impact work.
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing and customer service to ensure successful product delivery.
- Evangelize Fig’s mission; dietary restrictions affect millions of people, and we’re genuinely committed to making a difference!
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 7+ years of experience scaling a successful consumer app from 0 to 1.
- Previous experience as Head of Product at a fast-growing startup.
- Proven track record of delivering successful products from ideation to launch.
- Experience with data-driven decision making and sound business judgment.
- Strong understanding of user experience design and user-centered design principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- A hustler spirit and stellar references; we’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Extremely nice to haves:
- Personal experience with dietary restrictions (either yourself or a loved one); navigating tricky dietary needs is a daunting task, and prior understanding of these challenges will be helpful.
