Emojam is a lifestyle technology company. We believe audio stickers present the greatest opportunity to improve the way people discover content and communicate across web2 and web3 platforms, including in chat apps, games, and metaverses. Emojam empowers people to better convey emotions, customize their digital lives, collect virtual goods, and have fun together. The Company’s two core products are Emojam, a rich visual messaging keyboard/app that enhances your communications with friends, family, and the world; Emojam Studio, an interoperable audio stickers platform that enables creators to create, distribute and monetize audio stickers and other virtual goods across Emojam and partners network like YouTube. Emojam focuses on 4 verticals: music, gaming, sport, and film.

Emojam is recruiting a passionate and innovative Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who will lead it through its next phase of growth. The CMO will lead the development and execution of a full lifecycle marketing strategy to promote the Emojam’s brand and products - all of which are devoted to connecting creators and IPs to fans in new meaningful ways, delighting fans and ultimately helping creators and IPs to launch virtual goods across multiple web2/web3 platforms. The CMO will play a key role in reporting directly to the CEO and be intimately involved in all pertinent corporate decisions. Qualified candidates should have a finger on the pulse of the creator economy, entertainment, gaming, and web3, have deep experience launching tech consumer products, and implement effective growth marketing strategy that drives multi-million user acquisition and improves retention. You know how to make a beloved brand that people can’t live without, you’ve done that before. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, creative, content, PR, and the office of the CEO, you will support product launches, brand moments, special projects, and campaigns across music, sport, gaming, and film, as well as proactive storytelling efforts.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth marketing strategy for Emojam; strategize, ideate, and execute compelling narratives and value propositions for Emojam products and content offerings to achieve accelerated and sustainable growth.
  • Accelerate growth through organic channels including SEO, ASO, social media, communities, and in-app marketing/gamification (in partnership with the product team).
  • Build and scale acquisition strategy via paid channels including creative integration (content debut, challenges, influencers, livestreams), social, search, display, and other offsite channels. Develop LTV:CAC model for paid, continuously optimizing ROI on marketing spend across all paid channels.
  • Partner with content and sales team to maximize the success of special projects and campaigns across music, sport, gaming, and film.
  • Work with the product team to communicate about new features, and tech partnerships targeting fans and creators.
  • Team up with designers to deliver outstanding digital creative assets and communication materials across multiple channels.
  • Be visionary, leverage data and market insights, and think strategically to develop and refine Emojam’s brand and positioning while operationalizing and ensuring consistent execution of the marketing message through all market-facing channels.
  • Monitor the latest trends and work to engage with audiences in new ways.
  • Inspire and coach the community manager to successfully grow the Emojam brand and community across all Emojam social platforms (Discord, TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Snap Twitter, and other emerging platforms).

Ideal Experience:

  • 10+ years of growth marketing experience required in media/tech/gaming/merch, ideally in a startup setting.
  • Love creator economy, entertainment, gaming Gen-Z, and most importantly Emojam!
  • A proven track record of taking products to massive adoption through growth marketing strategy development and implementation.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships, inspire, and develop and implement a vision for the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with creative teams on cool marketing campaigns.
  • Prior roles working with product and tech testing and optimizing products to drive accelerated growth.
  • Strong experience with A/B testing, sophisticated measurement techniques, and attribution models.
  • Understanding of ad attribution and tracking pixels.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in driving paid acquisition across major strategic platforms Proven ability to efficiently manage a paid marketing budget.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with a track record of leading change
  • Perpetual curiosity, an entrepreneurial, transformational spirit; a quick learner with an analytical mind, able to exert strategic vision with conviction.
  • A strong bias-to-action, adept and agile in changing course and getting things done in short timeframes.
