Sr. Software Engineer

Profile

Recognized expert in multiple technology domains relevant to Suture Health. The Sr. Software Engineer is an important individual contributor and a mentor to others on the Suture Engineering Team. Expected to have or to quickly develop good knowledge of .NET Core to support existing technology, React, and Relational Databases. The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for delivering working, tested code meeting product requirements. Assists management in making technical decisions. Raises technical debt issues. Provides input on solutions and how long they will take to implement.

The Sr. Software Engineer is also responsible for taking part in peer reviews and mentoring others. Expected to review commits from other team members regularly and provide feedback in line with Suture established best practices and patterns.

This role reports to the Vice President of Engineering and collaborates with the Principal Engineer.

Mandatory Requirements

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, C1 minimum on CEFR or equivalent
• 5+ years total experience
• 2+ years working in .NET Core or strong expereince in a functional language e.g. Scala, Haskell, or Clojure
• 2+ years working with AWS
• Testing Focus
• Unit Testing
• Integration Testing
• Automation Testing

Nice to Have:

• US Healthcare Domain Knowledge
• HL7 / HL7 FHIR knowledge
• Experience with Mirth
• Knowledge of Spark or a Spark derivative (AWS EMR, Databricks, etc…)
• Playwright experience
• Elasticsearch or Opensearch experience
• Kinesis experience
• React Native
• AWS Glue experience
