Principal Applied Scientist, HealthTech

The main goal of this role is leading a team of highly skilled professionals to create and maintain world-class AI/ML data products. The goal of the delivery team is to make our clients happy while developing custom AI/ML solutions for them.

About the project

Typical projects in the areas: Remote Patient Monitoring (Biosignals, Sensors and IoT, Video Control); Wellness and Mental Health (Nutrition & Weight Control, Physical Activity, Mental and Work Wellness); Health Analytics (Descriptive Analytics, Diagnostic Health Analytics, Predictive Health Analytics, Prescriptive Analytics)

Challenges & Responsibilities

• assist Business Development Manager and Head of Practice & Partner in the pre-sales stage (technical and product-related questions on the scoping calls, epics, workload estimation, negotiations, expertise demonstration, etc.)
• work closely with ML Product Manager, Product Owner and ML Delivery Manager, and other project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for AI/ML solutions or features
• develop AI products and solutions in a broad sense, i.e. taking a project from an initial state and bringing it to the level of operational performance
• lead a team of highly skilled professionals to create and maintain world-class data products
• interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of leaders and teams, and work closely with the Product Owner, ML Delivery Manager, ML Product Manager
• control the technical performance, conduct code, and quality review
• lead solution architecture development and ensure its flexibility and sustainability
• communicate the progress to the customer with the Product Owner and ML Delivery Manager
• Advise the client on technology / product / business within the competence
• be a clear and confident communicator presenting to and engaging effectively across all levels of seniority with solid and effective written and verbal communication skills
• best practices and AI/ML Handbook development
• adopt best R&D and engineering practices to provide high-quality technical delivery and high productivity for engineering teams
• determine technical team staffing needs that are specific to the project
• participate in the interviews with candidates to check their hard and soft skills
• recognize achievements of the team members and motivate desired behavior

• State-of-the-art business and technology trends

Experience

• Research and Development in HealthTech-related domains 10+ years
• AI and Machine learning solutions delivery in domain 5+years
• Project / Team tech leadership 5+years
• Publications and public speeches track record

Terms & Conditions

Rate: $50 - $58 per hour
Allocation: 40-160 h/month
Location: Full Remote
