The Role

Fourth is seeking a Vice President, Finance Planning & Analysis to provide sophisticated financial analysis to business unit leadership, supporting strategic, operational, and financial objectives. You are responsible for overseeing daily operations of the financial planning and analysis department.

The Role. . .

  • Direct monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting process as well as monthly opportunity and risk updates to the guidance forecast,
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting across the organization,
  • Analyze productivity drivers, identify risks and opportunities to business performance, work cross functionally to implement recommended actions,
  • Provide analytical support to Mergers & Acquisitions activity,
  • Analyze the standard margins on a recurring basis and work with data management, sales and operations to understand the significant variations,
  • Develop benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance,
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget,
  • Manage the preparation of all financial reports and forecasts,
  • Prepare financial analysis for strategic contract negotiations and product investment decisions,
  • Work with department managers to develop current and future business plans,
  • Assist in establishing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures,
  • This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the financial planning and analysis team, and
  • Collaborates with Executive Team around business development initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate. . .

  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience with at least five years in finance and accounting management (i.e., controller, assistant controller, finance/accounting director),
  • Bachelor’s degree required – Masters degree and or MBA preferred,
  • Deep understanding of financial analysis and reporting, key business metrics, forecasting, and annual budgeting,
  • Strong analytical based decision maker with a core business process focus,
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles,
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems (NetSuite preferred),
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style,
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with character, competency, passion, humility,
  • Must be results-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and
  • This position requires up to 10% travel.
