Mylance is a platform for everything you need to thrive as an independent consultant. We are relatively early in our journey, but have proven out 2 different business lines with paying customers and significant growth. One of our core products is a tax / bookkeeping subscription that helps consultants set up the freelance business properly from a legal and accounting perspective, optimize it financially, and take all the books off their hands to maximize their take home revenue.

We also have a 60-day intensive live Accelerator where we empower Consultants to launch a 5-figure per month consulting business. Further, we’ve build software for the “business in a box” for consultants including leads, a CRM, turn-key website, invoicing, templates, and more.

An incredibly talented CPA who’s an expert in driving value to our customers. We want our customers so happy with the service that they boast about us to their friends. This person is customer obsessed, is willing to get their hands dirty, learn quickly, and add value immediately. You'd be working directly with the founders, and a founding team member as we continue on this journey.

The Product

Mylance's Tax and Bookkeeping offerings take this burden off freelancers' plates. We manage their books, report out on their business monthly, and analyze their business taxes to set them up for optimal financial success. This role will be both client facing and require work behind the scenes. Growth, performance, and customer satisfaction will be the main focus and measure of success in this position.

The Role

The ideal candidate has a CPA license and a proven professional background in tax preparation and filing for freelance and small business clientele.

The ideal candidate is a hustling team player who is solution oriented, with an entrepreneurial spirit who can quickly learn and immediately add value to Mylance’s tax and bookkeeping clients while also assisting with the growth of the business line.

This role will have both strategic and execution components. We need a strong performer and excellent communicator. We also need someone who is willing to put in the effort to meet with potential clients on calls to bring in new customers, focus intently on customer NPS scores and ensure timely, correct monthly financial reporting and filing of annual tax returns.

On a monthly basis, this role will be responsible for interacting with current clients as well as potential clients, maintaining client books, sending clients an updated estimate of quarterly (and annual) tax payments due based on individual income and expenses, as well as annual tax filings for some clients.

Requirements

• CPA license
• Direct experience with freelancers and solopreneur taxes
• A “wizard” when it comes to saving our customer’s money
• Experience preparing and filing taxes for both individuals, LLCs and Corporations
• Available to answer tax and accounting questions from our community of professionals
• Self-motivated, gritty, a team player
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent organizational skills
• Detail oriented, and will not let things slip through the cracks
• Great communication (you will be in front of customers!)
• Creative, innovative, and thoughtful
• Fast paced company experience preferred
