We coordinate the transports of 700+ companies across 60 countries, and provide our clients with a unique platform on which their teams can manage their shipments in a simple and transparent way. OVRSEA targets SMBs and Enterprises in a wide variety of sectors: cosmetics, chemistry, retail, electric bikes, high-tech, industry, food, and more.

The Operations team 🚢

The Operations (Ops) Team plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience at OVRSEA. Reactivity, excellence, pedagogy, and customer awareness are the guiding principles that drive our team!

The Ops team serves as the primary point of contact for our customers and acts as a bridge between all our carefully chosen service providers. These providers have been selected based on their commitment to delivering high-quality service, prompt responsiveness, and reliability.

What does it mean to be an Operations Associate at OVRSEA? 🤔

Our Operations Managers directly update our clients on the evolution of their transport, inform them on the important stages, guide them amidst constraints and hazards and find the best possible solutions when required.

They are the principal conductors of international transports. Ops Managers coordinate our chosen service providers (agents, shipping and trucking carriers, customs brokers...). Responsible for delivering our quality of service, they are key pillars of the company and drive its growth.

Your mission:

Oversee global transport operations for large imports or exports (70%)

  • Support a portfolio of customers by coordinating air, sea, road, and rail transport.
  • Provide proactive advice and address customer issues promptly.

Plan and price international transport operations (10%)

  • Respond to customer quotation requests by planning sea, air, and rail transport.
  • Contribute to improving processes between quoting, operations, and invoicing.

Handle customer invoicing (10%)

  • Assist in invoicing transport files.
  • Communicate with customers to clarify discrepancies between quotations and billing.

Contribute to development and structuring (10%)

  • Manage relationships and negotiations with suppliers (carriers and agents globally).
  • Enhance team knowledge through research and content production.

Your profile:

  • You demonstrate an interest in the transport industry, and you are curious by nature. Experience with a forwarding agent is a plus, but not essential.
  • You can handle challenging situations: Ops days in transportation are exciting but intense. Lots of issues and requests at the same time, and non-stop deadlines. You think solutions rather than problems, and you are able to take initiative.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • You are motivated for joining a startup environment.
